Who Are We?

Cedrus Company, established Cedrus in 2015 as an independent private sector company specializing in the trade of cigarettes, shisha tobacco, and modified tobacco products.

Cedrus built a comprehensive facility spanning 132,000 square meters, which includes a cigarette factory, a tobacco processing plant, a shisha tobacco manufacturing plant, and a cardboard manufacturing factory. Cedrus began production in 2019 with four production lines, expanding to 12 lines by 2021, along with the addition of two lines for manufacturing cigarette filters.

Leveraging the investment law in the Kurdistan Region, Cedrus obtained the necessary licenses to build a comprehensive facility spanning 132,000 square meters. This facility includes a cigarette factory, a tobacco processing plant, a shisha tobacco manufacturing plant, and a cardboard manufacturing factory. In 2019, production began with 4 lines, and by 2021, operations expanded to 12 production lines, with two additional lines for cigarette filter manufacturing.

Cedrus continues to grow and innovate, advancing the tobacco and packaging industries while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and environmental protection through green energy solutions.

Our upcoming works:

– Increasing the number of production lines from 12 to 16 production lines

– Establishing a tobacco processing factory (tobacco primary)

– Establishing a factory for manufacturing all shisha tobacco

– Establishing a cardboard factory and establishing an advanced printing press to produce all types of cartons

– Establishing solar systems to produce clean energy in order to protect the environment and reduce the loads on the public energy sector

How to benefit our country?

– Providing job opportunities in our factory for more than 300 people in the region (Piramagroon).

– We will participate in depreciation of the amounts in the import of all tobacco products from outside.

– Revitalizing and reviving the area, greening it and presenting it with a beautiful architectural appearance.

– A return to the cultivation and production of tobacco on local farms by local farmers and the local tobacco trade movement, which our ancestors benefited from for many years of agriculture and tobacco trade. After the Iran-Iraq war, this industry died and many people became unemployed.

Why are we different?

– We follow all safety and hygiene guidelines for our factory and our employees.

– We choose the best type of tobacco to be used in our products after processing and taste selection.

– Our quality control regularly checks the products every few minutes for taste, smell, color and shape.

– Considering the place of manufacture of products and how to store them in factories and warehouses at the permitted temperature and humidity with the necessary humidity, by installing filter systems in the production hall and warehouses.

– Taking into account the financial situation of our country, our employees’ salaries are graded and social security is provided, Furthermore, we provide continuous training courses to improve the productivity of our employees.

– After intensive research, we have chosen the location of our factory that is far from city, and 25% of the factory area is green.

– We are environmentally friendly and participate in reducing environmental damage to the industrial sector, by not wasting energy and treating our industrial waste to recycling sources. We are trying to switch to green energy by installing solar system cells to provide electricity.
